English, An eye opener to me

English, spoken widely across the United Kingdom, is my only way of communication with the locals. What really struck me was that my English contains a lot of Malaysian slang. This always create a blur expression on other people's face. Yes, that's right.. this could only mean my english sucks.

Back in Malaysia, my English is considered not bad among my friends. Everyone understands what each other was trying to say and if English fails, there is always other language such as Malay, Chinese or Cantonese to use. It is a different case over here because the only mean of communicating is by English.

I'd just remembered a few days ago my brother in Singapore called me and said that I need to improve my English. He keep emphasising that my English sucks. Oh well, guess I really need to work on my English.

UK week one

Hi, people! It's been great u guys been following my blog every single day.. I'm sorry to had disappoint u guys as i was very busy myself.. this wasnt really helped with the lack of internet connection that most people are facing once they'd reach Nottingham (Long story, hard to explain, but in a nutshell.. there's no direction about anything once u reached Nottingham)

Anyway, I'd promised plenty of photos to be displayed to u guys.. however.. after much consideration, I'd decided to put all my photos taken in Nottingham UK up to Facebook. For those who does not have Facebook, get one now! =P

My Room.. Before and After.. Spot the difference

Lolz.. spent nearly a month to clean up my room.. and guess wat.. it's still messy.. well messy in the sense that most of the memories are all stuffed up in metal boxes and it didn't materialize as I had hope it will be.

Well nonetheless, some of the pictures taken in my room during my packing for UK and after I'd tried to clean everything up.. This is damn frustrating..

Yes, I'd decided to move the 2 tables together. The initial plan was to throw them out and replace with a L-shaped table.. but this is more economical plus I won't be around to use it anyway..

Floor's clean.. move the rack out.. Now can decorate it with stuff d.. Nice..

And there u have it, a failed project which turns out ok till I come back to improve it.

Farewell, Malaysia...

Well, this is it.. counting down towards the day I leave Malaysia for UK. Yes, I'm going there to study 2nd year, No.. I'll be coming back on the 3rd year to finish my degree. Each final days pass by very fast as I try to grab it as hard as possible. There's just too many things to pack.. too many unfinished business left hanging.. too many people to say goodbye.... yet so little time.. okok.. enuf crapping about the lack of time.. This post is a farewell post, to all my Malaysian friends and all Malaysians as well.. as the day i leave approaches..

First thing on my list.. I hope that Malaysia will turn into a better country while I'm away from the country for 1 year. Good bye Malaysia, I'll be back in a year. Enough said. After the recently hot issues that keep popping up from BN, I'm losing my confidence in it, but none the less.. I dislike looking at Anwar taking the throne of Malaysia.. deep down.. I think he's the same as any other BN members.. he'll be full of corruption the moment he takes the seat. ( All this are my own personal opinions )

Secondly, I'd like to say goodbye to my family. Thanks for everything. I'll be leaving you guys for a year now, just try not to turn the whole house into a mess. (not like i'm doing a good example, you should see my room ) Erm.. anyway.. to my little sister, Form 4 already wor.. Manage ur time well in ur choir activities and ur studies, both are important. As for u, Mom.. Happy Birthday.. Just be strong and do the right things, oh ya.. dun forget to cut the crap when u're talking and be more sensible to others, dun simply add oil when a person's already on fire.. As for u, Mr Old Bean, stop being so arrogant and deny us children.. Be more of a good example before u even open ur mouth of craps.. Be more manly, dun run away anymore.. face it and apologize.. pull ur pride down.. that's what u've always been teaching us.. Guess i'll not be able to see u do that before i leave for UK.. hopefully u'll be able to do it after I come back. (and as the elder, u should apologize first.. to set a good example, dun forget what ever happened is not us children's fault to begin with.. Think logical for once)

Thirdly, the goodbye extends to dear Happy.Little.Star aka Da Jie (college friend). Well.. I guess I should say sorry.. for not telling u that i'm going. Deep down.. I guess I'm just selfish, don't wanna hurt myself. Nonetheless, Thank you so much for everything. Appreciate ur friendship, understanding, willingness to listen.. U're indeed one of few who are irreplacable in my life. Hopefully next time I'll still have the chance to meet up with you again.

Fourth, to you Ducky (hehe.. know u dislike this name, but don't really want the whole world to know ur real name), I lied and I still lied on that day. And yes, I'm deeply sorry as well. I guess I was one of the worst friend u can ever had up till college. I hurt you the most and at the same time hurting myself even more badly as well. I'm sorry I can't do anything to cure the both of us, sorry for breaking the trust u had in me as a friend, sorry for being selfish, sorry for being such a jerk, I want to turn back time.. back to that day when we were close, the time when we go lunch together, the time when we had our studies at the library, the time when we had our dinner together as well. I do hope in the future the ship we sail will never sink....

Fifth, to my ex-housemates and neighbour at Semenyih. We really had some funny moments worth remembering while we were staying together. The time we study together, the time we watch movie together on a 14.1" screen in the living room, the time we spent chatting all the way from late night till early morning, the time we went out for supper ("Munga!,Munga!"), and also the night when I was considered almost drunk (1st time lolz).. I'll remember u guys and would like to wish all of you the best in your studies and goodbye.

Next on the list is my Form 5 classmates, 5s5. To the few specific people first, Wen Yee, Hsiao Vern, Kee Tat, David, Aravinth & Tze Siang, see u guys in UK!! hopefully we'll get to visit each other while in UK. Eunice, Sze May, Jia Yin, Yan Chyi, Sau Liang, Kim Giak, Melody Lee, Lance Liew, Zi Qin, Thanks a lot for coming out to meet up with me before I fly off to UK. Will really miss u all, especially Eunice's laughter and smile, Sze May's never ending stories about her life in college and uni. It's been interesting, oh ya..Sze May, I'm not forgetting the fact that we actually meet up 4 times continuously in just 1 week.. dun miss me ar.. lolz.. I know u all wont.. =P then to the rest of the classmates.. All the best in everything ya..

And the list goes on.. wanna say good bye to my college friends, specific few... horseman Foo-Ling, Poh Yeng (poh poh, hou!!ngek ngek!!) and also Tse Ling.. I'm leaving lor.. Thnx for everything u guys had done in the past.. will not forget the times we shared together back in college.. It was really fun indeed!! =D

Not forgetting.. My recent University Of Nottingham Malaysia Campus FRIENDS.. Thnx for organizing the gathering for me and all the people who are going to UK.. It was nice of u all.. we'll meet again in 3rd year.. as of now.. wishing all of u all the best in ur studies!

Also not forgetting u guys, Chin Chuan, Jameson Wong, Yen Cheng, Zi Qin, Yeow Hong, Crabby Zhi Jian and Ching Yih, Thnx for organizing a gathering for me as well.. =) It was very meaningful.. especially since we chat till nearly 2am once and the other time nearly 5am.. =P haha..

And to my other friends which i didn't manage to meet especially Wai Kiat and Pin Pin, sorry for not being able to attend as my schedule was kinda tight.. well.. All the best to you as well!

To the future, we should all just keep moving forward and never give up! I'll be posting more stuff up this blog throughout the whole year I'm in UK, so please stop by to read some of the adventure that i'll be having over there. Till next year, I'll see u again!
