As a future engineer, I find that this joke is very amusing.
Engineer's Belief Most people believe that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.
Yup.. It all started when it was 8am in the morning. I over studied and realized that my maths exam is just an hour away. Change as fast as I can.. Woke Hao Zhi and left my flat within 10mins. Reach Jubilee Campus to catch the bus to University Park Campus (where my exam is being held), just to find out that there was no bus service. Well, ya.. we received news that the bus stop has changed to another location, but somehow we didn't notice the bus at all. =_=''' So the time is 8.30am and it's only 30mins till my exam starts. We decided to call a cab since we didn't have much time. Even after calling a few cab companies, we didn't manage to get a cab. So we decided to walk to the main campus. Right.. we barely manage to reach the exam hall on time. I did badly in today's exam as well. Let's hope I'll do better than I had anticipated. =_=
Oh, It's Darrick's birthday today, we took off his jeans and help him to wear an OUTSTANDING beach pants. haha!! well that's all for now..
Why can't human be really honest with each other? If you hate someone, can't you tell them in the face? or if you dislike someone stalking you, it's best to just tell the person off. Is it necessary to turn one big round (being nice and all, trying not to hurt the person's feeling) and act in front of them, only to let them discover themselves that in fact you have a total negative opinion towards that particular person? Don't you guys know that it's very hurtful to discover it that way?
I'd always like to hear honest comments/answers from people (which are not over elaborated), whether it's hurtful or not (probably I'm used to be criticized badly since young age). But to tell a lie in front of me just so I can find out the truth behind the lie, that really makes me an untrustworthy person and it really saddens and anger me at the same time.
Conclusion, just be honest with yourself and others even if it hurts. As the saying goes, "Honesty is the best policy."
It's been a long journey since I left Malaysia for UK. Lots of memories just rush through my mind, mostly sweet =), and I must really thank my parents for allowing me the chance to 'study' (it does feel more like a vacation to me) oversea. Well.. I'll just bring you through some of the memories which I have in Nottingham :
Firstly my first birthday experience oversea, many more pictures here.
I was facebooking when I came across this video. It's hilarious, made my day. Hope you guys enjoy as well.
Right entertainment's over. Now back to some reality check. A fifth grader sure knows a lot about the world! The truth is I don't even know any of these facts when I'm in fifth grade. (assuming fifth grade to be around the standard of UPSR)
Another reality check, the blonde girl in that video, guess who she is? She's Kellie Pickler, one of the top 6 in American Idol 2006, loved by Simon for her beautiful southern voice. go check wikipedia =P http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellie_Pickler
This reminds me, There was once when Yang, my flatmate, asked Jenna, my flatmate as well, a simple question. "How many legs do chicken have?" Asked Yang "4 legs!!" she said without thinking and even after thinking, she asked us back, :"Isn't it correct? Cows and lambs have 4 legs as well?!" Right... =_=
I've seen many sarcasm in western movie about blonde girl, but this really tops everything. "maybe she only attends singing classes when she's young?" ya.. maybe.. I'll take this as an excuse for not being smarter than a 3rd grader then..
